On Wednesday 24 February 2021, the Kinshasa Commission and two of its volunteers (Emmanuella M. and Nacris K.) visited two retirement homes to offer support, joy and happiness.
The two retirement homes that welcomed them were “Saint Mark” in the Sisters of the Poor (in Kibanseke) and “Les Therèsiennes” (in Limete Salongo).
Committee members were able to speak with seniors and retirement home managers. The welcome was warm and they shared and learned from each other.
Donations were made by the Association SOS Love-Solidarity. This initiative by the Local Committee is a first step towards other charitable activities for the elderly.
The Athens Committee and all its active members thank the Kinshasa Committee for the happiness they shared with the elderly and for the pictures they took.
We hope to be able to share more good times with children and seniors very soon.
